Mobile responsiveness is arguably the single most important thing when it comes to websites in 2017, especially since Google's latest update, prioritising mobile optimised sites over any other...
A mobile responsive website is a site that is able to adapt to the screen it is being used on, whether that is a desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile. The website automatically reformats to give your users the best experience for their device, and also has a number of benefits for you as well. With the staggering rise of mobile devices in the last decade, two thirds of people in the UK now own a smartphone- using it for at least two hours every day to browse the internet, scroll through social media, and shop. We now spend twice as long online on our smartphones, rather than on our laptops or desktops. Social media is another big reason to make sure that your site is mobile-friendly; with so much website traffic now coming from social media sharing (the new ‘word of mouth’), you need to make sure that people can link to your site via an app such as Facebook or Twitter. All of this obviously has a direct impact on the way your website is viewed. Click here to see our portfolio of fully mobile responsive websites. It is also a much more efficient way to build your online presence, as by ensuring that your website is responsive, you essentially only have one website instead of two (desktop and mobile). This is not only cost-effective, but time-effective: as opposed to having a separate mobile site to maintain, you only have your main site to look after. Likewise, SEO (search engine optimisation) campaigns are much easier to maintain with only one site; if you were to have a separate mobile site, you would then need two SEO campaigns; so a responsive website is all round much easier to manage. It is no longer enough to ‘just have a website’. If you want to really engage your customers, attract new visitors and stay ahead of the game, your website HAS to be viewable on a mobile. We can convert ANY existing website to be mobile responsive, or build you a brand new one from scratch. To find out how we can help call us now on 0161 40 85 123 or email info@premierweb.org.
